ZEC24.64%

According to Zcash Foundation and Anthropic, a comprehensive security audit using the Mythos AI model found no critical vulnerabilities in Zcash's protocol as of June 2026, providing reassurance following discovery of a serious forgery flaw in the Orchard shielded pool earlier in the month. The vulnerability, which had remained undetected for nearly four years, was patched via emergency network upgrade on June 3, 2026, with no evidence of exploitation. As of June 14, ZEC traded at $422.86, up 2.48% in 24 hours with a market capitalization of approximately $6.64 billion, reflecting partial recovery from a 55% decline triggered by the vulnerability disclosure.

The Ironwood upgrade, approved on June 12, is scheduled for late July and will introduce enhanced shielded pool security protections and transparent verification mechanisms for ZEC supply. Developers continue conducting audits ahead of activation.
