How Funds Enter the Stock Account

Gate Stocks uses an independent stock account for management.

Users can transfer funds from:

  • Spot Account

  • Unified Account

to the stock account. Once the transfer is complete, funds can be used for stock trading. If you haven't completed the transfer, you can still view market information but cannot execute trades.

Full Process from Order Placement to Position Management

A stock trade generally follows this process:

USDT transfer → Order execution → Position established → P&L changes → Sell and close position → Funds return to account

After purchasing a stock, the system will automatically update:

  • Position quantity

  • Unrealized P&L

  • Daily P&L

  • Account net value

Users can check this data at any time.

Differences Between Market Hours and After-Hours

Currently, Gate Stocks only supports new trade orders during official US stock market hours. During market hours, users can view real-time quotes and execute trades.

When the market is closed, users can still:

  • View quotes

  • Check historical records

  • View position information

but cannot submit new orders.

The platform will gradually expand trading hour coverage in the future to provide a more flexible trading experience.

Unified Management Experience in Stock Accounts

In addition to trading features, users can also view in one account:

  • Position information

  • P&L data

  • Fund flows

  • Corporate action records

Compared to traditional multi-platform management, this centralized approach offers a more streamlined and convenient asset management experience.
