China's Lottery Sales Drop 6.4% to 54.073 Billion Yuan in April

GateNews
According to China's Ministry of Finance, national lottery ticket sales fell to 54.073 billion yuan in April 2026, down 6.4% year-over-year. The decline was primarily driven by higher base figures for instant lottery ticket sales in the same period last year, as well as reduced sports gambling revenue due to fewer sporting events this year. Sports lottery sales accounted for 36.116 billion yuan, while welfare lottery sales were 17.958 billion yuan.
