EU Crypto Firms Face July 1 MiCA License Deadline or Face Service Ban

Starting July 1, EU crypto exchanges, custodians and service providers must secure full MiCA authorization or stop offering regulated crypto services in the region, according to guidance from ESMA. The deadline marks the end of a grace period that allowed firms to operate under transitional arrangements while completing their licensing applications. Any crypto-asset service provider without a MiCA license after July 1 will be in breach of EU law and must execute an orderly wind-down.
