According to OneMillion_AI (Beating), open-source AI framework Hermes Agent released v0.17.0, integrating iMessage support without requiring Mac hardware or self-hosting infrastructure. The update enables users to log in directly via device credentials through Photon Spectrum-hosted gateway infrastructure, eliminating the need for Mac device pass-through or BlueBubbles gateway configuration.

The release also introduces asynchronous sub-agent design, allowing background task delegation via delegate_task(background=true) without blocking primary agent interactions, and integrates xAI subscription services with OAuth-based access to the grok-composer-2.5-fast model featuring 200k context window.
