House Agriculture Committee Urges Trump to Appoint 4 Missing CFTC Commissioners

According to CoinDesk, U.S. House Agriculture Committee leaders urged President Trump on May 18 to appoint four missing CFTC commissioners as the agency operates with only one member remaining. In their letter, the lawmakers warned that the regulator’s current staffing levels are insufficient to effectively implement new crypto asset oversight powers, particularly ahead of potential passage of the CLARITY Act.
