Ireland Launches 30-Point Strategy Targeting Illicit Crypto-Asset Freezing and Confiscation

According to Ireland's government statement, the Irish Department of Finance and Department of Justice have unveiled a national financial crime strategy that includes a 30-point action plan aimed at improving authorities' ability to freeze and confiscate cryptocurrency assets linked to money laundering, fraud and organized crime. The plan includes legal updates to strengthen asset-seizure capabilities, funding allocation, and specialist training for the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau, including capabilities for tracing on-chain transactions.
