Malaysia Raises Civil Servants' Stock Holding Limit to 300,000 Ringgit, Adds Digital Asset Rules

According to The Edge Malaysia, Malaysia's Public Service Department revised asset disclosure rules for civil servants, raising the stock holding limit to 300,000 ringgit from the previous 100,000 ringgit. Under the new rules, civil servants may invest in Malaysian-registered company shares, subject to a 5% cap on actual paid-up capital or a maximum value of 300,000 ringgit, whichever is lower.

The revision marks the first time digital assets are included in the regulatory framework, emphasizing transparency and accountability in civil servants' investment activities.
