Polymarket Adds Prediction Market on Jimmy Kimmel Dismissal by May 31, "Yes" Probability at 9%

Gate News message, April 28 — Polymarket has launched a new prediction market on whether Jimmy Kimmel will be fired or resign by May 31, 2026. The “yes” outcome currently stands at a 9% probability.

The market resolves to “yes” if Kimmel stops hosting “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on ABC by 11:59 p.m. EDT on May 31, 2026. If Kimmel resigns or is terminated before that date, the market will immediately resolve to “yes” regardless of when the separation takes effect. Temporary measures such as suspension or administrative leave do not qualify. The market’s primary resolution source is official information from ABC or Disney, with consideration given to broad consensus from reliable reporting.

The prediction market follows U.S. President Donald Trump’s public calls for ABC to fire Kimmel after the host made jokes about First Lady Melania Trump on his show. Melania Trump has also suggested Kimmel should lose his job over the remarks. Trump posted that “Jimmy Kimmel should be fired immediately by Disney and ABC,” characterizing the joke as “a vile, inciting violence type of act.”
