According to Guru Club, Qatar is accelerating the recall of empty liquefied natural gas (LNG) tankers on June 22 to prepare for restoring supplies that account for roughly one-fifth of global LNG. Ship-tracking data shows three LNG carriers operated by Qatar's state-owned shipping company are positioned in the Oman Gulf near the eastern entrance of the Strait of Hormuz, with five additional Qatar-linked tankers in nearby waters and several more en route to the region.
Data indicates Qatar successfully exported over 300,000 tons of LNG during the week of June 19, marking the highest level since early March. However, this volume remains only about one-fifth of pre-attack levels from late February, prior to U.S. and Israeli operations against Iran.
