Gate News message, April 24 — U.S. President Donald Trump will dispatch envoy Steve Wittkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner to Pakistan for talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi this weekend (April 26-27), according to two government officials.
Vice President JD Vance is not currently planned to attend due to Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf’s absence from the delegation, as Qalibaf is considered Vance’s counterpart. However, officials stated that if negotiations show progress, Vance is prepared to travel to Islamabad at any time, with his staff already positioned in Pakistan to participate in the talks.
