According to XRP Ledger Operations, the XRP Ledger (XRPL) released version 3.2.0 on June 16, a major infrastructure upgrade designed to enhance institutional adoption and scalability. The upgrade reduces RAM requirements for nodes and validators by an estimated 30-40%, lowering operating costs and increasing network accessibility.

The release introduces the fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment to strengthen security and reliability across lending protocols, Multi-Purpose Tokens (MPTs), and decentralized exchange functionality. Additionally, the core server software was rebranded from rippled to xrpld (XRP Ledger Daemon), reflecting the network's evolution as an independent blockchain platform.
