Anti-Human Trafficking Group Urges Lawmakers to Reconsider Clarity Act Section 604, Citing Crypto Platform Accountability Concerns

According to Coindesk, an anti-human trafficking organization on June 27 urged lawmakers to reconsider Section 604 of the Clarity Act, arguing the provision could weaken accountability for certain crypto platform developers whose technology is used to facilitate trafficking-related payments.

Katie Boller Gosewisch, executive director of the anti-human trafficking coalition, stated that the clause could allow third-party platform developers to "hide behind" liability protections if their software is used to assist human trafficking payments.
