According to Bitcoin.com News, Manuel Adorni, chief of President Javier Milei's government, resigned on June 27 after facing an illicit enrichment probe since early March over more than $500,000 in undisclosed funds. Adorni claimed the funds were gains from a $200,000 Bitcoin investment made in 2013, which he said generated $300,000 in returns through 2018. However, an audit by Blockworks researcher Fernando Molina found a corresponding wallet showing only approximately $60,000 in earnings, falling short of Adorni's reported gains. La Nacion journalist Hugo Alconada noted Adorni did not disclose the origin of funds for his initial Bitcoin purchase.
