U.S. and Iran Agree to Halt Mutual Strikes, to Meet in Doha This Tuesday

According to U.S. media reports, the United States and Iran have agreed to cease striking each other's territory and will hold talks in Doha this Tuesday (July 1), focusing on disputes over the Strait of Hormuz. The agreement comes after mutual strikes occurred over the weekend, during which Iran missed a scheduled technical-level meeting with the U.S. on June 28. Iran's Foreign Minister stated that the Strait will be under full Iranian control within 30 days, warning that any intervention will delay the strait's reopening.
